Q: i have a 2002 f150 supercrew, and im replacing the fuel pump....?
is there a certain trick to get the fuel filler nozzle disconnected from the bed? ive taken off the three screws that hold it to the inside of the fuel door, but i cant get the bed high enough to pop the filler neck out. im really not wanting to break anything so i figured id stop and do some research. amazingly google didnt turn up any help at all, and thats about as far as my "researching" goes for those who havent figured this out, i can replace the pump by sliding the bed back, there is no need to drop the tank, i dont have a lift, or a lot of tools, it is much easier to just take the 6 bolts off the bed and the 4 on the bumper, then slide it back, i just can get the filler neck loose.

A: Did you remove the ground strap? Also some have a hose clap holding the filler neck to the bed

Q: 2002 f150 ignition switch problem?
i have a 2002 f150 supercrew 5.4L... earlier this afternoon i was listening to music in my truck with the ignition switch turned back. you know when the stereo only turns on... it was working fine but now i tried to do the same thing and it wornt turn the sereo on or anything else... if i turn the key the other way just before the truck turns on it works fine. do you know what the problem is?

A: Just a guess not sure exactly but you may have blown your accessorie fuse. When you turn your key back, it is for accessorie use only so thats what may have happened.

Q: 26 inch rims, 305 30 26 tire F150?
I bought a set of 26 inch rims with the 305 30 26 tires for my 2002 Ford SuperCrew F150 and they hit with the big bar underneath my truck that turns the wheels everytime i turn. i already cut the bumper 2 inches on each side so it doesn't hit the bumper anymore, only the big steering bar. What can i do to prevent it from hitting? Spacers?? Smaller tire?? I dont know what to do! My truck looks badass with the 26s and i would rather fix the problem than downgrading to 24's. what should i do to prevent the wheels from hitting the big steering column?? yes it is the rims bringing in the rubber to far. and yes my truck looks good with the 6's old man Ok I already resolved the problem. The tires were hitting the sway bar at the bottom of the truck everytime i made a wide turn, but its not a problem, i just have to make wider turns now. I

A: No, your truck does not look badass with 26 inch rims. It looks like a perfectly good truck that got messed up by some teenager with no sense of subtlety. All those people you notice staring at your truck? Those are not looks of envy or admiration. Anybody with taste is laughing at you. "Downgrade" to something much smaller than a 24 inch wheel, preferably one that's not chrome or gold-plated, and maybe people will take you seriously.

Q: Need help solving lighting problem on a trailer.........?
When I hook up a utility trailer to my truck(2002 F150- supercrew) the running lights on the trailer work, the signal lights work, but the brake light do not work on the trailer. I have checked the ground and reconnected it and wiring is standard 4-wire hookup. When I have the running lights on and apply the brakes, the running lights shut off. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

A: does your ford have a seperate turn signal from the brake light. if it does you will need a convertor to add the brake light back into the system to run the brake/turn signal lights on the trailer. also make sure the trailer lights are hooked up right and the bulbs are in correctly, my suggestion, try it on another truck and see if they work correctly. and which ground are you checking the one on the trailer or truck, dont rely on the ball mount to ground correctly

Q: F150 SuperCrew will not start?
Has anyone had a problem with their security system or add on (Sky Tracks?) inhibiting the engine from starting? I have a 2002 f-150 screw, 4.6L 2x4. When I try to start the truck all guages roll to max position, then roll back to "off" condition, then to their sensor position. The starter works, but it seems not to have fuel or spark. Fuel pump does not run before starting and I have checked the fuel shut-off sw. A mechanic said that he thinks the security system could be the problem... Help I think its after market. I bought the truck in California. Its called Sky Track. I dont know how to disable it. I changed the battry, old one bad. Still no change. I have spark, engine cranks, but no fuel in fuel rail and I do not hear the fuel pump running. Checked the relay, checked good. All fuses good. Lost Also tried my other key, same issue. Theft light does not flash when trying to start engine.

A: well disable the security system? is it a stock system or aftermarket?

Q: How do i read the check engine code on my Ford F150?
Im not entirely sure what the year of the truck is, but i do know its a Ford F150 Supercrew Extended Cab. Sometimes the 'check engine' Light will come up and I looked up on some ''How To's'' and I was going to go to AutoZone if the light came back on but it hasnt yet, but i just want to be on the safe side and understand how to read the code for when it DOES come up again, instead of going to AutoZone, and having them read it. I think the truck is maybe a 2002-2004? I think im not sure because i dont really keep in mind what the year is haha. Dont riducule me about it, i know im supposed to know what year the damn truck is but right now i cant think of it. So any websites or whatnot that could help? Or any like experiences that could help....?

A: Check engine light may have to do with the exhaust system in the truck. also is the gas cap tightened securely on the truck? I also had that happen to my F150 and called the dealership and that is what they told me. The light went out and never came back on. So I would say don't worry about it, but if it keeps coming on, then may want to have it checked.
