Q: How will load springs effect my truck (f150)?
I'm got an f-150 (2003) and often use it to transport tools, lumber, tile, concrete. . . Often times I max out the weight in the bed to where it has very little clearance and sways badly while driving. I've been told that load springs will help it out but I didn't know anything about them. Will they raise up the truck? What rating/price should I look for? Are they a simple bolt on accessory? Any info is appreciated.
A: Are you considering adding larger diameter springs? it will make the truck stop some swaying but clearly you are overloading your box. Then you will need to add a heavier shock.
Remember that truck came with an approved payload. That is based on braking as well,
Maybe you ought to consider either a HD truck or use a trailer with a heavy GVWR.
