A: Find a country road and mark off 1/4 mile and use the speedo at the 1/4 mile mark to see your speed and have friend to use a stop watch.
It really is not that simple. There are other things like tire size, computer settings, mileage, oil, gas, temp, altitude, humidity etc.etc.

well the whole ignition piece don't work i cant move it around i cant stick my key in their or anything so basically my truck dont start
A: You need to call your insurance company and file a claim so you can get it repaired. Real intelligent response there "Franklin".
Q: Dual exhaust for 2003 F150 Supercrew 4*4 5.4 liter?
Any suggestions?? Please and thanx:)
A: Go with a Corsa system or Magnaflow. I have the Magnaflow on my mustang and it sounds awesome without droneing on inside the car. Flowmasters probably sound as good as anything outside the car but they often drone inside.
imo
Q: 2003 F150 supercrew 45k 4X4 FOR ONLI $10900 ...ADVICE !!!!!!!!?
IS THIS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE? WAT IS UR ADVICE
DO YOU THINK THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH IT???????
I MEAN THE CARFAX DOESNT SHOW ANYTHING WRONG....ITS IN GOOD SHAPE
ITS IN A DEALER..Y THIS CHEAP..IS IT JUST ME
SHOULD I GO FOR IT???? OR WAT COULD BE WRONG WITH IT
A: The price seems a little on the low side, but it is worth it to go and look at the truck. Depending on the condition and equipment, it may be priced correctly, or it may even be overpriced!
If it looks good to you (It may be rough looking at that price) take it to your own independent mechanic to have it checked out. If the dealer will not allow you do do that (during the day, locally, at your own expense) run from the deal!
You may be able to get a good deal. You will not know unless you go to look at the truck!
Watch for the fine print in any ad. They may have a "dealer handling fee" or some such thing. Another trick I have seen is the price listed is with $1500 cash or trade, which means the actual price is higher.

Q: I have a 2003 Ford F150 SuperCrew, 5.0, 8 cylinder truck.?
I have the tow package on the truck already. What would I need/or how would I tow my Bayliner boat and pop-up camper instead of taking two trucks? Also, is this legal in all 50 states?
A: I am not an advocate of it but i see it done all the time in exactly that Fashion...A boat and camper behind a pick-up. You will need to put the heavier in the front and rig up a safe hitch system on that with wiring as well. I drive cross country and see it everywhere but could not tell you 100% on the laws in each state. Also make sure you have a transmission cooler on your truck so as to not burn the tranny up. I also see the hot shot rigs pulling two campers simultaneously to be delivered to dealers.
Q: How do you level a 2003 2WD Supercrew?
I have a 2003 ford f150 Supercrew which is a 2WD. the front of the vehicle dips forward and i only see that on the 2WD models. i was wondering if a lift kit will level that out or if there is a leveling kit for the 2WDs.
A: these are work trucks and are designed that way so when you put a load in it, it will become level..
Q: 2003 ford f150 f-150 supercrew noise?
when its parked for a while, and i get in, and first put it in park after starting it, theres a noise from the rear like the rear diff is unlocking or something. just a single pop.
if it hasnt been sitting for very long it doesnt do it.
what do you think?
A: If the truck has limited slip (Trak Lok) then it maybe time to change the fluid and get the clutches adjusted as they are known to need adjusting after a while.
Q: f150 supercrew sub box?
i need a subbox that could hold 2 kicker comp vr 10s underthe seat for a 2003 supercrew truck...

Q: whats better a avalanche or a f150?
ok so heres the situation. my dad has a i believe 2002 or 2003 avalanche. its white and has like a 2 inch lift with offroad tires and a pretty good system in it. its fully loaded. i can either give him all the money i have wich is around 8000 for it or i can buy a used 200-2003 f150 supercrew, black.
now if i buy the f150 im going to raise it put new offroad tires on it and rims along with a system and probablly a little more stuff.
the avalnche also is 4x4 and the f150 wont be. any questions jus tpost and ill add details
also dont just choose off looks but also try to make it smartest for me but also think of looks.
A: i am a personal fan of the fords, but if you wanna take it off roading then the avalanche is best for you.
Q: noisy new window lift motor?
I purchased a window lift motor from O'Reilly's Auto Parts for my 2003 F150 Supercrew FX4 front driver side window. The window motor seems to vibrate the door panel which causes an unusually loud humming/vibrating sound when the window is being operated. The speed of the window is quick both up and down and does not seem to be dragging. I greased all of the tracks and gears, and removed the motor numerous time to ensure I had it lined up. The motor operates quietly and smooth when not in place on gear. I'm kinda baffled over the situation, but I am also happy to have window working again. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
A: if the motor is tight then i suspect some rivets are loose in the channels....
Q: Replacing single leaf spring?
I've got a 2003 F150 4x4 Supercrew that has a broken single leaf spring on the rear left end. The spring broken is the second one from the bottom (five total). I am looking at replacing that single broken spring instead of the whole pack. Will this cause the truck to be unlevel? I know that dealerships and mechanics suggest replacing both sides of the entire pack is replaced. Thanks in advance.
A: salvage yard and get a set of springs easy to replace... not sure if you can buy just one spring or not and no it wouldnt change anything but be better than a broken one... easy to remove two bolts on either end of and two u bolts holding it down to axle springs will have a band on either end sometimes it as ribits but you dont have to replace that when a nut and bolt will owrk as good as ive change a few springs and rear ends not hard i wouldnt be at the dealer..salvage yard would be just as good and three times cheaper look in phone book auto salvage
Q: which is a better exhaust system borla, magnaflow, or flowmaster?
I have a 2003 Ford f150 supercrew and would like to purchase an exhaust that sounds good and performs well, as well as last a long time. i've heard that magnaflows tend to rust out after the first year. ive been looking at borla, but they're just too expensive. If you have any other sugestions i love to hear them.
A: One of the magazines (can't remember which one think it was fast fords) did a dyno with all the muffles and I believe the Borla was the best. Flowmasters were way back on performance.
Q: Need opinions on source of oil leak...?
I have a 2003 F150 Supercrew FX4 with 139,000 miles, and I found a 3" puddle of oil on my garage floor today. I found that the torque converter housing was oily on the passenger side (this has been oily for a long time now, but it hasn't dripped any on the ground until now.) There is no oil around any of the bolts on the oil pan. I found that it was oily under the exhaust manifold on the driver side (not dripping, but just oily), but it seems fine around the oil filter. I was unable to find any evidence of an oil leak from under the hood or around the valve covers. What would be showing if this was a head gasket leak? I had always suspected that I had a very very slight rear main seal leak, but now I just doin't know. I cleaned the puddle up and I have not seen any new oil on the ground in a few hours. The dipstick showed I was slightly above min. Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
Austin
A: If you had a head gasket leak, there would likely be coolant mixed with the oil. Check your coolant reservoir - if there is oil in it, then it's almost definitely a head gasket.
Since it doesn't seem to leak when cold, you may also have a crack in your engine block that only presents when the engine is warm and pressurized. On this same note, it could also just be a split hose somewhere.
You might try running the engine for a while and seeing if you get drips. Make sure you have sufficient oil in the engine at all times though.
I wouldn't drive this vehicle much without getting it diagnosed and repaired though. Best of luck.
