Q: quality of a 2004 f150 supercrew?
I have the chance to purchase a 2004 f150 4 door. it has 70k on it and for the payments to be in my range i would need a 5 year loan... Just wondering who has personal experience with these trucks if they could tell me if the truck would last me atleast until the 5 year loan is paid. I dont want the truck if it will crap out on me while im still paying for it. thanks
A: 70k is pretty good mileage I would say get a carfax and verify the truck hasnt been in any accidents and if its possible get the maintenance records. As with any car as long as you properly maintain it, you will have no problems with it going well beyond 200.000 miles. People often say Fords are crap but those are the same people that dont do the regular oil changes or other maintenance requirements. So again I would try to get more info on the truck and go from there the best way to see how well the car has been maintained is to check all the fluids now under the hood and if something is dirty then you will now its been poorly maintained. Otherwise sounds like you got yourself a deal.
Q: subs for f150 2004 supercrew?
what subs will sound the best in a f150 2004 super crew new body style with the subs that go under the seat the sub box is this one http://supercrewsound.com/commerce/product.jsp?prodId=10&catId=58 but the subs i want them to be 12'' i want them to pound hard (a lot of bass) the price doesn't matter
A: Well first off you need to get an enclosure for 12" subs instead of 10's, as for the type of subs i would recommend that you go to various shops and listen to different brands until you find the one you like. I know kicker, pioneer premier, and JL audio have some hard hitting subs and they should sell shallow mounts so you can fit them in the enclosure as well
Q: Brakes wore out(rotors+pads)at 31k miles on my 2004 F150 supercrew, will the dealer replace the rotors for free
A: Many times, no. Dealers view brake system as wearable items and when they wear, that's it. If you are still under warranty, you may want to talk to your dealer about. If you are out of warranty, you can expect to pay for the rotors. Or at least they will resurface them.

sorry i mest up its 2 in the front and 4 in the back
A: first of all you dont want to drop the front that much unless you looking for your bed to be higher than the front (stock, the front sits lower than the rear)

Q: f150 5.4 2004 Jet performance module?
ok i have a supercrew 2004 f150 with the 5.4 3v engine the new body style and i wanted to get the Jet performance module and i was wondering if it will realy adds horsepower and fuel mileage serious answers only plz
A: No do not use jet, i would suggest a hypertech or superchips(only use superchips if you want them to talk to you like you are a friggen idiot when you have a problem). But jet didnt put out any extra power in a ranger we hooked on up to, the only thing it did was moved the speed limiter up.
Q: In order to put nitto mud grappler 33's on my f150 would they scrub or would i have to buy a suspension lift ?
Its a 2004 f150 supercrew cab
A: Bigger tires on a stock truck will always rub.
Q: lowering kit or air bags for f150 2004?
what is better the air bags or the lowering kit for a f150 2004 5.4 supercrew new body style if its the lowering kit i want it to lower 3'' in front and 5'' in back...what will make the truck ride smoother the air bags or lowering kit with wich one will the truck in the back will not be bumpin up and down like if you were bouncing up and down in the back of the truck...price doesn't matter
where can i find it
A: You can get the rear kit from 4 Wheel Parts, or 4wheelparts.com. The kit is made by Firestone. I'm not sure that it drops 5" in the rear, it pretty much lowers it to the same height as the front. I think what you're talking about is a complete cutting and everything. Check your area for acessory shops. I know the Firestone kit looks REALLY good installed and rides very smoothly
Q: I have an 04 f150 with a 2.5inch leveling kit.....?
I put a leveling kit on my 2004 f150 supercrew 4wd and was wondering because ive heard different stories but can i fit 35x12.50's on it?
A: yes you can run the 35" tires on your truck but make sure you keep in mind that the speedometer will not be correct
Q: Where can I find a 5th wheel rail and installation kit that will fir my 2004 F150 with the 5 1/2 bed?
All the rail and install kits that I can find won't fit beds smaller than 6 foot. My Ford F150 FX4 Supercrew has the 5 1/2 bed. I know they have one that will fit because the previous owner had one mounted. and I still have all the mounting holes drilled in the bed. I can't get ahold of the previous owner to find out what he had.
I'm only looking for the rail and install kit, not the complete 5th wheel. I'm using a gooseneck attachment that hooks to the 5th wheel rails.
Any ideas?
My truck is rated at 9,300 towing capacity and my trailer is a short 3 horse goosneck weighing around 6,000.
A: There are different rail set-ups. Some run lengthwise in the box, some run across the box. Reese makes an excellent product and they have various rails that "might" work. http://www.reese-hitches.com/product_categories/fifth_wheel
They also make complete goose neck set-ups.

Now that all being said your truck is not rated anywhere near the weight required for pulling a goose neck trailer. That is why nobody makes a specific hitch to properly fit your application. You will either have to rig something up yourself or use a generic set-up. Check your local state laws before attempting to trailer a unit beyond the maximum rated capacity as specified inside the door piller of your particular truck.
Q: Tonneau cover for Ford F150 Supercrew.?
I have a 2002 Ford Supercrew pickup and I purchased a tonneau cover from ebay. The cover says it fits only 2004 and up Supercrew trucks. What is the difference between 2002 and 2004 bed size and will this cover fit?
A: Well 2004 is when they redesigned the F-150 to the more square styling. The bed design was likewise changed and thus the cover won't fit your bed.

Q: Does cold air intake have a negative impact on gas consumption?
I'm thinking of having this done on a 2004 Ford F150 Supercrew 5.4 litre v8 engine
A: You want the cold air intake for better performance, yes?
With better performance, you will have your foot on the gas more often.
Yes, the impact will be negative.
NOTE:If the system you install doesn't duct air from outside the engine bay to the air cleaner, then it really isn't a cold air intake. If it is open and pulls in warm air from the engine bay, that is counterproductive, as cool air is better. That's why your present system is ducted to pull in cool air.
Q: I replaced my old brake pads with ceramic brake pads that started squeaking. How can I stop the squeak?
The brakes pads are on a Ford F150 2004 model Supercrew.
A: take them off and put ain't squeal on the back of the pads
