Q: NEED HELP FINDING A SIDE VIEW MIRROR FOR A 2005 F150 Lariat?
Ive been looking everywhere online for the past week and I cant seem to find a drivers side mirror for my f150...its powered and heated, it also has a turn signal on it...i went to the dealer and they want to charge me $400 to replace the whole thing!!! I was wondering if anyone knows where i can get one myself so i can replace it

A: If you are wanting a used one, then check out www.car-part.com If you want a new one then you must buy one from a Ford dealer. The glass is not sold seperately on the models that are heated and have a turn lamp. The entire unit must be replaced. The dealership is not screwing you.

Q: 2005 f150 lariat v8 5.4 is missfiring in cylinder 8 check engine light is on sometimes blinks?
took it to the shop they said bad coil pack so they replaced it ran fine for a couple miles and then when i want to pass somebody it sputters and sounds like crap i looked ont he internet and everyone says coil pack spark plugs wires well all that is brand new and it still does that

A: Wait you said they replaced coil pack are you sure they did plugs and wires too. Could be that plugwire isn't fully seated on plug correctly, give it a gentle tug see if it moves. should be snapped on. If Plug, wire, and coil pack is fine it could be a clogged injector but that is a long-shot. Never assume that just because a part has been replaced it is good. If still doing same thing go back to dealer tell them problem u are having let them pull codes and diagnose. DO NOT tell them you just had it in for the same problem, if they are paying attention they may well notice but most likely not unless you are in dealer alot. That way they won't skip testing the parts they just installed, and just start throwing parts at it at your expense. On Side note any odd engine behavior WILL turn engine light on a newer vehicle on. Check engine light means there are trouble codes in the computer not that you have emission problem.

alright now i have a 2005 ford f150 lariat with steering wheel controls i recently purchased a kenwood ddx 512 and am having it put it on friday but today i started to wonder if my steering wheel controls would still work? i searched all over the net and found nothing... i found these steering wheel interfaces but am not sure if im going to need one? and if i did need one of these interfaces how hard are they to install?? what all would i have to do??

A: You will need some sort of interface for it to work. Not hard to install, but should be done at same time as radio. Have whomever is installing do the interface as well.

Q: About switching thottle bodies on f150 2005?
i was wondering if i could change my throttle body with electronic to a throttle body with cable on my 2005 f150 lariat 5.4 3v engine if it can be done where can it be done and can it be with any regular mechanic and about how much will it cost to do it because they have to put a cable from the pedal to the throttle body

A: Well depending on your amp wattage. If you got a 200RMS amp then get 200watt RMS subs.

Q: Who makes the best speakers and head units for cars?

A: go to crutchfield.com and check out their selection of components,read the reviews to see if u see any thing u dont like and you can buy from them or try to get it elsewhere,i would recommend alpine as a good unit and speakers.

is it really true that there is drop shackles that can drop the rear of my truck up to 4'' my truck is a 2005 supercrew lariat 2wd.just the shackles alone.if there is where can i get them

It has about 80,000 miles on it and its a lariat if that makes a difference. I need to add oil becase weirdly enough the oil just disappears after some time theres no leak but anyways I need to know what kind of oil to add onto my truck. Thanks. and its also motor oil for transmission in guessing. I dont know too much about this I know you add it to the oil sign were the motor is..

A: On here people can give you a pretty good educated guess as to how much horsepower your truck is now putting out. But the only real way to get an accurate reading , as well as the best way to tune your truck to its peak performance, is to go somewhere with a Dyno and get it tested. If you do not know, a dyno (dynamometer) is a device used to accurately measure horsepower and torque figures for vehicles. This is the only true way to get an accurate reading. It is also the best way to get the most out of your mod's. If you run your 1st dyno test, you can then make adjustments and run it again until you ge tthe best performance out of your engine. Saying all of this, I will take a wild stab at your HP and Torque figures: Since you are starting out stock with 300 horsepower and 365 ft-lbs of torque, adding the hypertech program, the higher octane fuel and the better exhuast and headers, I will guess that you are now running (without a tune) around 320HP and 375lb-ft of torque.

A: Do a search for a "rolling road" close to you and they can test it for you and give you almost an exact BHP

A: take it to a dyno. 5.4 f-150 engine should get 300 stock.

I currently have a 2001 ford ranger which I have worn down since I bought when I was 15 (now 20). I am having trouble deciding between a 2005 ford explorer sport track and a 2004 f150 lariat. My friends dad is selling the sport track and my mom's friend is selling the F-150. Both of them are giving me a great deal (below blue book). I am 6'3'' and want a bigger truck, but don't want to pay for the gas on a v8. Any suggestions would be welcome. Please limit the discusion to the two above as they are the ones that are available to me. I need to make a decision with in the next day as the explorer is on lease and is about to be up, and my mom's friend is going to buy a new truck this weekend and will trade it in if I do not buy it.

Ok so I gotta get rid of a vehicle. I have an 06 f150 lariat supercrew. Has a rousch supercharger, basically its a fast 480 whp truck. Really nice all leather interior, 38K miles. OR A 2005 subaru sti. Basically this car is a beast. 550 awhp. Stock interior other than a stereo and racing seats. Has bout 10K bucks into engine. has 33K miles on it on rebuilt engine. Well basically I use the truck for going out and stuff and I use the car for work, track basically for fun lol but I dunno which one I should get rid of? Wat u guys think

A: Get rid of the car. Keep the ford. I got rid of my R1 because it got too cold where I live. So I got an '07 GT w/ a Kenne Bell sc. And how many lbs are you running in your F150? I run 8lbs in my GT and I only get around 460 to the rear wheels.
