Q: Where can I find a rear bumper for a 2006 ford F150 lariat?
I went to buy a truck from a dealership the other day and they told me that during the test drive, someone rear-ended the truck and almost completely tore off the rear bumper. Thanks to the no-fault law in Texas, the other person doesn't have to pay for damages. They told me at the dealership that it would cost $3,000 to repair the bumper. I definitely need cheaper than that. Somewhere near Austin, Texas would be perfect but if I could have it shipped, that would be great too.

A: Let me get this straight, you went to buy a truck from a dealer and it was wrecked during the test drive. Why did you buy it? The legal owner of the truck is the dealer at the time of the test drive. The bumper is their problem not yours.

Q: i have 2006 f150 lariat with 6disc indash cd & sat radio can i install nav radio and still have sat radio?

A: Why don't you just put your favorite songs on an Ipod and screw all the rest?

Q: Outfitting my 2006 Ford F150 Lariat a waste?
I got this truck at a pretty good deal at $7,300. So I've spent some of the money I saved into accessorizing my truck. So far I estimate I've put about $3,000 into it. I've put 20" xd rock stars on it with 32" street tires, installed infiniti speakers, subwoofer, an amp, new sony radio, flow master stainless steel dual exhaust. I mean, the truck itself is pretty basic, just a stock truck so I wanted to class it up a bit and so far I'm very pleased with how it looks and sounds. What I want to know is am I wasting my money? The truck has no power locking or power windows and I plan to get that installed. Is that costly? I also want to put a hood scoop on it and since the truck is not 4x4 and has very little horsepower, its obviously just aesthetics. Also, its all clothe interior, would it be completely stupid to have leather replaced in it? The logical part of me says "duh, of course" but the little kid in me says "go for it!"

A: Sounds like a nice truck, but it may be time to leave well enough alone. If you're looking to resell, you've probably got more in it already than it's likely to bring (but your post lacks some key info - visit http://www.kbb.com/ and enter your truck's specifics to get an idea). If your cloth seats are trashed and you're going to need to reupholster them anyhow, then leather might be an option. Otherwise, I'd leave them alone. Don't bother with the hood scoop - some custom accessories and options (e.g. the FlowMaster) add value - aftermarket scoops and body kits on an otherwise stock vehicle are for ricer wannabes. Power windows and door locks can be had aftermarket or from a wrecking yard, but may also be more trouble than they're worth. In the end, you may be money ahead to resell your truck and buy the more upscale HD or King Ranch trim model you seem to have wanted in the first place. Good luck!

I have a 2006 f150 lariat crew cab 4x4 and I am going to put a lift on it and don't know which will be better for towing.

A: Add-a-leaf will stiffen your suspension and make it better for towing.

Q: what are your personal experiences with performance chips?
I used to have an 13 gmc sierra 2500hd 6.6L and i had an edge performance chip. it was only a 65 hp 110 lbs of torgue but it did make the truck go pretty fast. i also had other mods as well. But i sold that and now i have a 2006 ford f150 lariat supercrew. it has the 5.4 L triton V8. And i wanna put something in it but i dont know which one i should get. Superchips, Diablosport, Edge or any other kind out there. which one would you recommend?? im not looking for a speed demon here i just want my truck to pick up a lil quicker cuz an intake and exhaust but i also had 20's and now i have 24's and its just a lil slower.

A: The Ford PCM doesn't have any removable chips.

Q: Cool Air Intake on 2006 Ford 150 5.4 liter v8 lariat addition?
okay so im looking to put a fuel effecient air intake system on my f150 (details above^) to get a little better mileage along with a noteable sense on power and quicker throttle response...however i have no idea where to start shopping. could anyone please give me soem links or something to the best buy for my buck along with what im looking for? i want power along with efficiency but idk what are leading brands. as far as price i would like to keep it around 350ishhhh

A: I had a 2002 a 2005 and a 2007 F150, I ran K/N Air Filter on all of them, with a Helix Power Tower and a lower restriction muffler and got way better performance and mileage, my present 07 F150 will do 26 and 1/2 miles per gallon in perfect conditions, 2007 F150 FX4 ,4X4, Supercrew Shortbox, with 4R75 transmission.
