Q: What would you rather buy? A 2007 Silverado classic or a 2007 Ford F150 XLT? They both have 40,000 miles.?
I want a truck that will last me for at least 5 years and I know both will but I'm hesitant to go with the Classic due to how old it will look in 5 years. It's more of a vanity thing but the Silverado has basically looked the same since 1999 and will look ancient once I have it paid off and that may hurt whatever resale it may have left.
A: If they are teh same price and condition, get the Ford.
The Chevy should be a little cheaper. You are correct, the older body style is dated (I know, I have one) and is not worth as much as the newer Ford body style.
Both should last 5 years easily with proper maintenance, so that is not an issue. For my money, I'd rather have the new GM truck for the price of the Ford, but that is up to you.
