The parts that make the ford raptor different from the f150: suspension, taillights, wheels, tires etc.
What i want to know is where to get the extended fenders to make the truck wider so I can put wider tires on. basically i want to know where to find the parts to make the regular ford f150 2010 model just like the raptor. give me a link if you can... Thank you very much.
A: Well, you'll need 35 inch tires BFG's I think. Figure about $800 for a set
You'll need the SVT wheels. Figure about $2000 for those
You'll need remote reservoir shocks. Around $1000 there + install
You'll need the E-locker. About $500 maybe a little more
You'll need 4.10 gears front and back, that will run about $1200 installed
You'll need the SVT springs and suspension/steering bits, call that around $1000 give or take
You'll need the huge Raptor skid plates. $600 or so
You'll need the Raptor grille , $400
You'll need the fender flairs, about $400
And of course the Raptor-specific paint at around $2000 for decent paint job.
You're looking at around $9900 give or take. Add another $5000 if you want the new 6.2L Boss V8.
Seeing how Raptors can be had for around $38k and a run of the mill 4WD F-150 XLT runs about $33.5k, it makes a hell of alot more sense just to buy the Raptor from the start.
Q: What truck should I buy?
I'm a ford guy so don;t even try to talk me out of my choices I narrowed it down to either 2010 F150 Lariat platinum white tan interior crew cab 6 1/2 box with 5.4L V8 or
The New 2010 F150 Raptor but then you can only get super cab and your box is only 5 1/2 but it is just me so I really don't need the extra room
I would get black exterior with black leather interior but now my final decision is should is should I get 5.4 L V8 or 6.2L V8
Now the Lariat is around $44,000 Raptor with 5.4L V8 $40,000 Raptor with 6.2L V8 $43,000
A: love the raptor and it will stand out in a parking lot. you are paying a premium for the style but if you can afford it why not. I own a lariat 2004 f150 and love it. its the 2005 design not the previous. the 5.4 engine runs well , maybe not a drag strip killer but I didnt buy it for that reason. it rides and feels like a pick up designed by the designers of lincoln contenental. yes mine is a crew cab as well. I have black leather interior and the floor shift automatic. I believe the 5.4 will suite your needs just fine as they can be "tricked out" if some performance boost is desired. the 6.2 is a bit worse for milage with minmal power gain.
Q: what is a good first car for a 16 year old?
